LCBI High School's senior boys’ soccer team made an impressive run in the playoffs, finishing with a provincial bronze medal at the championships held in North Battleford on October 26-27.

The team’s journey began the weekend before, as LCBI hosted the regional soccer tournament on October 19-20. Seven teams competed on Friday, eventually narrowing the field to four for Saturday’s semi-finals. LCBI advanced to the finals after defeating Lake Lenore, while Langham triumphed over Wynyard in the other semi-final match. In a hard-fought regional final, LCBI secured their spot at provincials with a 3-1 victory over Langham.

At the provincial championships in North Battleford, LCBI faced tough competition. In the semi-final matchup, they went up against Waldheim, ultimately falling 4-1. However, the team bounced back in the bronze medal game, showcasing their skill and determination with an impressive 8-0 win over Maymont to secure third place.

With a strong regional performance and a provincial bronze, the LCBI senior boys' soccer team closed their season with a memorable achievement that has made their school proud.
