Dinsmore Composite School's junior girls volleyball team made a strong showing at the West Central District Volleyball Championships held in Outlook on Saturday, October 26. The team, consisting of Makenzie Crofts, Macey Edstrom, Sadie Noonan, Abigail Pajunen, Charity Pajunen, Sidney Keeler, Jade Beattie, Adele Sol, and Ali Morrison, took on some of the largest schools in the division, including Kindersley, Rosetown, and the host team from Outlook.
The DCS girls dominated the round-robin stage, winning all their matches in straight sets and finishing first overall. Their impressive performance carried them into the final, where they battled hard but ultimately fell to Outlook, securing a well-deserved silver medal.
Coaches Mrs. Beattie and Mr. Morrison expressed their pride in the team’s effort and sportsmanship, noting how well the girls represented Dinsmore at the tournament. This silver medal finish highlights a promising season for the junior girls, who have proven they can compete with the best in the division.
