Sherry Lynn (Hayes) Mulhall, of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on October 23, 2024.

Sherry was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on December15, 1955. In 1957, her family moved into Swift Current, Saskatchewan where she attended school. Through her school years she enjoyed doing gymnastics, and attended Explorers, and (CGIT) Canadian Girls in Training at the First United Church.

Sherry began work at an early age, starting at the Swift Current Museum as an attendant, then as a clerk at Robinsons. She also worked in the men’s department at Co-op and Tangen’s.

Sherry and Rick were married in the summer of ’75. They started off their life in Medicine Hat, then to Gull Lake where they began their family. Rick’s work had them move around from Swift Current to Olds, Alberta, back to Swift Current, then to Red Deer, Alberta where they have resided for the last 29 years.

Sherry is survived by her husband Rick of 49 years; her son Chris Mulhall, and daughter Cobralin (Carlis) Brochu.

Her grandchildren: Seth Schmaltz, Dakota Mulhall, River Mulhall, Tenzen Brochu, and Rori Brochu.

Her mother Eileen Hayes; sisters Betty (Brian) Lacher, Sandra (Claire) Brong.

Her in-law’s Pat (Barb) Mulhall, Cathy Sorenson and Rosemary Sorenson. Numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Richard and Susan Schmaltz; Aunties Myrna Hayes, Carol Lawton, Loretta Schmaltz, Emily Schmaltz, Lorriane Mulhall, Eve Sutherland. And many wonderful cousins.

Sherry was predeceased by: her father Jim Hayes; brother Bob Hayes; In-law’s Joe and Rose Mulhall; and brother in- laws Garry Sorenson, and Arnold Sorenson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
