Grande Prairie Salvation Army is gearing up for the Christmas season’s annual Kettle Campaign, set to kick off on November 14th. This community fundraiser supports essential services year-round, with all proceeds staying in the local area.

"If you can spare two hours of your time to ring the bell and share holiday cheer, you can make a difference,” Captain Peter Kim encouraged.

Interested volunteers can contact Julie Parcham at 780-296-3946 or email grandeprairie.kettles@salvationarmy.ca

With Christmas just around the corner, the campaign promises to bring hope and holiday joy to those in need in Grande Prairie.

Captain Peter Kim recently returned from a relief mission in North Carolina, where he assisted in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene with the Salvation Army.

His team was on the front lines, providing food, emotional support, and spiritual care to first responders and families devastated by the storm.

“The devastation was very severe and widespread,” Kim shared, “but the great thing is the Salvation Army was there to help feed and provide spiritual and emotional care, especially for those who have lost homes and loved ones.”
