I’m committed to making Moose Jaw a business-friendly city that supports its local entrepreneurs and provides a safe, welcoming environment for all people to enjoy.  I’m ready to work with the community to bring fresh ideas, address challenges head-on.  I will work hard to ensure the city steps up where it has fallen short and make sure our citizens have the resources and support they deserve.

Q: Do you have experience in public service/community boards/politics?

A: Yes, I have extensive experience in public service, having served on numerous community boards dedicated to improving services for Moose Jaw residents. I’m also the CEO of Lakeview Regional Wellness Centre and co-founder of Dr. Goodenowes Restorative Health Centre, where I’ve worked to empower people and create supportive programs for over 35 years.

Q: Do you think experience matters one way or another?

A: Yes, experience matters—especially when it comes to understanding community needs and knowing how to collaborate effectively with others. My years in personal development, mental health, and community leadership have taught me to listen, adapt, and take action, which I believe will serve Moose Jaw well in City Council.

Q: What topic/policy issue/incident was the tipping point for you?

A: Seeing the need for stronger support for local businesses, combined with issues around homelessness, addiction, and safety, drove me to run for City Council. I realized Moose Jaw needs action, not just discussions, to empower local organizations, address social issues, and create a city where everyone has the resources they need to thrive.

Q: What criticisms do you have, if any, for the politics you’ve seen over the last two or three years?

A: I believe we’ve seen delays in addressing key community issues, with discussions often taking the place of real action. Residents and businesses deserve concrete plans and solutions, and I am committed to moving beyond talk to create a safer, more vibrant Moose Jaw for everyone.

Q: What is your plan to compromise/cooperate with fellow council members to accomplish policy goals?

A: I’m a strong believer in collaboration and respect different perspectives. My background in mediation and conflict resolution has prepared me to work constructively with others, finding common ground and working toward shared goals. I’ll prioritize open communication, transparency, and a solutions-focused approach with fellow council members.

Q: What else do you want voters to know about you?

A: I’m a proud lifelong Moose Javian, with deep roots and a strong commitment to this community. I’m passionate about helping others, and as I approach retirement, I want to give back by serving Moose Jaw. My career has been about empowering people to succeed, and I’m dedicated to bringing that same drive to City Council.

Q: In the interests of transparency, are you coordinating or do you share an association with any other candidates, in any way whatsoever?

A: Yes I am running independently and as a team member.  My focus is solely on the well-being of Moose Jaw and our community. I believe in working collaboratively as a team on City Council to achieve the best results for everyone. My career has given me the experience and independence to bring fresh, unbiased ideas to the table, and my financial independence ensures that my commitment to Moose Jaw is driven by community interests alone—not personal or personal business gain.
