Actor and outspoken Christian Kirk Cameron is starring in a new kids' show filled with Biblical and wholesome themes.
The crowdfunded project Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk stars Cameron and his side-kick, an iguana puppet named Iggy.
"This family-focused, live-action series combines laughter, learning, and biblical values, offering parents and grandparents a trustworthy entertainment option that reflects their values and brings the family together," says the press release.
Cameron aims to raise $1,250,000 for the project as each episode costs $125,000. As of now, the crowdfund has raised over $1,149,000.
"Parents today are searching for kids’ entertainment they can trust — shows that align with their values and capture their children’s attention in a meaningful way," Cameron said in a statement with CBN News. "Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk does just that, blending fun and purpose into a series the whole family will want to watch together."
Once the fundraising goal is met, 10 episodes will be released.
BRAVE Books and company founder Trent Talbot created the show specifically geared toward young families looking for clean entertainment.
"I’m thrilled for families to finally experience it," says Talbot. "This premiere marks the beginning of something special, a place where kids can be entertained and inspired in a way parents can trust. We want to teach children biblical, moral lessons through their phones and the screen time."
Cameron recently welcomed his first grandchild earlier this year, a granddaughter named Maya.
