Christian artist Matthew West received a special surprise at one of his recent tour stops.
A pair of fans who had met West at an earlier concert and had him pray over one of them shared an update on how that prayer impacted their lives.
"I met Lucy and Eddie when I was playing a show in Greenville, SC. They asked me to pray over them as Lucy was diagnosed with cancer and was about to have surgery the next day," said Matthew.
He says that experience was one of the inspirations that made him go home and write "Don't Stop Praying."
While chatting with Matthew after his recent show in Myrtle Beach, the pair presented Mathew with a special gift and let him know that Lucy is currently cancer-free.
"I wanted to share this story as a reminder of the power of prayer and what God can do when we turn to Him in the midst of our hurting and trials!"
Matthew is currently finishing up his 'Dont' Stop Praying' tour before he heads out on his Christmas tour in mid-December.
