A 25-year-old man from Medicine Hat has been arrested following a five-month investigation by RCMP into break-and-enters in Tim Hortons restaurants across Alberta and Saskatchewan. 

According to a news release from police, between June and October of 2024, break-and-enters were reported at 12 spots in Alberta including Brooks, High River, Hanna, Vermillion, Rocky Mountain House, Rocky View County, Strathmore, Drayton Valley, Didsbury, Stettler, and twice in Wetaskiwin.

Police said five Saskatchewan locations were also hit including Maple Creek, Kindersley, Swift Current, Saskatoon, and Indian Head.

Joshua Elliott Moose was arrested in White City, Saskatchewan after a break-and-enter. He was arrested outside of a hotel.

A search warrant for his hotel room, vehicle, and apartment found cash, tools, and firearms in Medicine Hat.

He has been charged with seven offences in Saskatchewan for break-and-enters and possession of break-in tools. He is also facing 31 charges in Alberta for break-and-enters, and the unsafe storage of a firearm.

Moose will appear in a Regina courtroom on Wednesday (Nov. 6).
