A new podcast is giving listeners a different perspective on the Old Testament.

Created by Yael Eckstein president and CEO of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, The Chosen People is a new podcast that offers a cinematic audio experience, bringing to life the timeless stories of the Old Testament and highlighting their relevance to Christian and Jewish audiences.

"I think that these are the roots of both faiths Jews and Christians, and the stories in the Hebrew Bible, they are the essence of being human and being people of faith and being people of faith as we're wrestling with God to find purpose amid tragedy and sin."

Eckstein says what's incredible about the characters in the Old Testament is that they're not perfect, yet they are loved and called by God to start a new reality in the world of monotheistic faiths.

"For me, that's where I find my inspiration and where I have this very strong desire to share with others," said Eckstein. "We see that story in the story of Noah. Even with Noah. He messed up. He fell. He came out of the boat and he fell. He planted grapes and got drunk, but you know he's the father of humanity now. That's where we all came from, and God chose him. God believed that he was going to continue passing on this tradition of trusting in God, even within the brokenness."

Through The Chosen People, listeners will journey into the hearts and minds of ancient Israel, experiencing tales of wonder and war and slavery and salvation. These powerful stories reveal not only the history of a nation but also the essence of being people of faith, wrestling with God, surviving trials and tribulations, and finding purpose amid tragedy and sin.

Recorded in Israel, The Chosen People brings ancient history to life with vivid storytelling and spiritual reflections.

"This is not your average podcast. We had a 100-piece Symphony write the music for the podcast and it's incredible," said Eckstein. "The idea is that the Bible should come alive. The cinema and visuals of it, it's very, very dramatic."
