Unity, SK – November 6, 2024
Emergency crews were called to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Unity on Monday evening. According to the Unity Fire Department, they received the call at 7:18 p.m. and quickly responded to the scene.
Unity RCMP confirmed that the incident involved an adult male pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as minor. The pedestrian was treated by first responders on-site and did not require transportation to the hospital. Instead, he was given a ride home by emergency personnel.
No charges have been laid in relation to the incident. Authorities did not provide further details about the circumstances leading up to the collision.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution and ensure they are visible when walking near roadways, particularly during the darker winter months. Drivers are also urged to stay alert and watch for pedestrians.
