RCMP have apprehended a man who has hit 17 Tim Hortons restaurants including muiltiple locations in the southwest with break and enters since June.
Joshua Elliot Moose was taken into custody in White City on October 31, 2024, by the RCMP Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, with assistance from the RCMP Regina General Investigation Section.
The 25-year-old has broken into Tim Hortons locations in Swift Current, Maple Creek, Kindersley, Saskatoon, and Indian Head.
On top of those, he broke into 12 more additional Tim Hortons locations in Alberta. Those were located in Brooks, High River, Hanna, Vermillion, Rocky Mountain House, Rocky View County, Strathmore, Drayton Valley, Didsbury, Stettler, and two in Wetaskiwin.
The coffee shop caper was located by RCMP after he committed another break and enter in White City. Officers apprehended Moose at a hotel in White City, where a search warrant of his hotel room and vehicle, in conjunction with one of his apartments back in Medicine Hat, found a quantity of cash, tools, and firearms.
The Medicine Hat resident has been charged with seven offences in Saskatchewan for break and enter to commit theft and possession of break-in tools.
Across the provincial border, Alberta RCMP has provided Moose with 31 charges for break and enter to commit theft, possession of break-in tools, and unsafe storage of a firearm.
Moose had his first court appearance in the Saskatchewan Court of Justice, Regina, Nov. 6, 2024.
Alberta RCMP extended both the Alberta and Saskatchewan agencies that assisted them in this arrest.
