A previous snowfall warning for Airdrie and the surrounding areas has ended.
Previously, a snowfall warning was in effect for Airdrie and the surrounding areas, as heavy snow blanketed the region on Monday. Environment Canada forecast around 10 centimetres of snow, which led to challenging road conditions, particularly during the morning rush hour.

Commuters were urged to prepare for delays, slow down, and allow extra time for travel during the snowy conditions.
Road conditions
Due to the snowfall warning, the QEII southbound towards Calgary was reportedly icy and snowy. Icy sections and slush are being reported. Motorists were urged to exercise caution as road crews are expected to be out and about. Calgary's roads appeared to be in worse shape, with reports of Stoney Trail and Deerfoot Trail covered in snow, ice, and slush building up.
Local forecast
Snow was expected throughout today, with five to 10 centimetres possible. Light winds will reach up to 15 km/h, and temperatures will peak at minus 2.
A wind chill factor will make it feel closer to minus 7. This evening, the snow is forecast to stop, giving way to clearing skies, though fog patches are likely to develop overnight. The temperature will drop to a low of minus 18, and wind chills could make it feel as cold as minus 21.
Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with a slight chance of afternoon flurries. Morning fog will clear, and the day's high will reach minus 5, with a biting morning wind chill of minus 22.
On Wednesday, periods of snow will return, keeping temperatures around minus 8. Sunny breaks are expected by Thursday, but the cold will persist with a high of minus 9—Friday's forecast points to more snow, with temperatures around minus 7.
