Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes can be dropped off in Strathmore

Collection week is now underway for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox initiative.

Residents in Strathmore can pack a shoebox with items like toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.

Staff with Samaritan's Purse Canada say personal notes and photos can also be included inside shoeboxes.

There is one drop off location in Strathmore at the Alliance Church which is open for donations until Sunday (Nov. 24).

Over 435,000 shoeboxes were shipped off to West Africa, Central America, Ukraine, and the Philippines in 2023.

For 31 years the Operation Christmas Child campaign has given out more than 220 million shoeboxes to children in over 130 countries.
