Saskatchewan RCMP continue to receive reports of weather-related collisions and incidents throughout the province.
There have been multiple reports of jackknifed semis including the areas of east of Dafoe, Pense, Disley, east of Waldeck, and east of Regina near White City.
Traffic delays are expected for these areas and closures/re-routing may be in place. Travellers are reminded to monitor updates with the Highway Hotline for road updates.
Between 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on November 19, 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP received 14 reports of motor vehicle collisions. These include:
- Two reports of collisions involving wildlife (deer).
- One report of a collision involving three vehicles in the Humboldt detachment area. The collision occurred approximately five kilometers west of Guernsey, SK.
- One report of a jackknifed semi in the Moose Jaw detachment area, approximately four kilometers west of Belle Plaine, SK. The collision was determined to be weather-related. Collision clean-up is now complete.
- One report of a vehicle in the ditch in the Fort Qu’Appelle detachment area as a result of poor road conditions.
No injuries were reported to police in relation to the motor vehicle collisions.
At approximately 8:50 a.m., Saskatchewan RCMP received a report of a semi rollover on Highway #1, approximately 10 kilometers east of Indian Head. Saskatchewan RCMP are currently responding along with local fire and EMS. We have no further details to provide at this time in regards to injuries or road closures.
Winter weather is expected to affect road conditions throughout the day today. Saskatchewan RCMP remind the public to check road conditions/closures along their planned route of travel before hitting the roads.
