Brandon Lake released his new single "Hard-Fought Halleujah" last week and it's hitting the No. 1 spot on multiple music charts.
The new worship-filled rock anthem was released on Nov. 8. Since that time it's been downloaded 6.83 million times across streaming sites.
"Hard-Fought Hallelujah" was the largest debut streaming week for a single released by a Christian genre artist. This beat out his previous sincle, "That's Who I Praise."
"I am blown away by the response this song has received in such a short time,” says Lake on social media. “It’s insane to see what God can do with just one song. My prayer is that this song reminds everyone who our God is—a ‘mountain movin’, body raising, breaker of chains!"
The new song garnered No. 1 on the Christian/Gospel Songs Chart, the Christian/Gospel On-Demand Audio Streaming and Christian/Gospel On-Demand Overall Streaming charts.
The most shocking is that "Hard-Fought Hallelujah" was No. 1 on the All-genre Digital Song Sales chart, beating out all other secular music for the top spot.
One week ago Lake also announced two more Grammy award nominations for his album Coat of Many Colors that is up for Best Contemporary Christian Album, as well as his song "Praise" which is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. This brings his total to seven Grammy nominations over the course of his musical career.
