Shortly after noon on Saturday, Spruce Plains RCMP located the pickup truck of missing man, 81-year-old George Haslan.
According to RCMP, officers found the vehicle on a rural road north west of Rapid City with Haslan inside. Local first responders provided immediate medical assistance, but he was pronounced deceased on scene.

Spruce Plains (Neepawa) RCMP received a report Friday night around 8:20 p.m. of a missing elderly man who had not returned home from a drive earlier that afternoon.
81 year old George Haslen was last seen Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm when he left his home in his white 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup truck with Manitoba licence plate BEA 873.
He’s described as being 6’1”, 175 lbs with grey hair and wearing a red plaid flannel shirt, grey pants, blue hat and winter boots.
Extensive patrols by the RCMP and his family have yielded negative results so far.
Police and family are concerned for his well being, because he is not dressed for the weather.
