A snowfall warning for Airdrie ended on Saturday evening.

Earlier today, there were reports of several spun-out vehicles in ditches as roads were treacherous in and around Airdrie.

There were reports of one vehicle spun out in a ditch along Yankee Valley Boulevard, heading southbound on the QEII and slightly in the right lane. A truck is also reportedly in the ditch on the left-hand side.

The QEII, south and north of Airdrie, was experiencing partially snow-covered conditions. Drivers were urged to be cautious, as there were reports of icy sections, black ice, blowing snow, and slippery surfaces, particularly along the shoulders and wheel paths.

Visibility was generally good despite the ongoing snowfall, but extra care was advised when travelling through the area. Motorists were reminded to drive to the conditions and have their lights on.
