The Humboldt RCMP along with the Saskatchewan RCMP North Battleford Crime Reduction Team arrested a male wanted on multiple warrants from the three police agencies for a total of 22 charges. 

Clayton Fenwick, a 24-year-old male from Yorkton, was wanted by Yorkton RCMP, Saskatoon Police and Moose Jaw Police for seven warrants for charges relating to failing to stop for police, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited, breach of release order, fail to comply with a release order and mischief. 

On Friday (Nov.22), it was determined Fenwick was at a residence on 11th Street in Humboldt. Officers contained an area around the residence to ensure public safety and the Sask. RCMP's Critical Incident Response Team attended to assist.  

After two hours of negotiations, Fenwick exited the residence and was arrested without incident.  

An adult female was also arrested at the scene and was released without charges.  

Officers performed a search warrant at the residence and located and seized five firearms and ammunition. A vehicle reported stolen near Lake Lenore on October 10 was also recovered. 

As a result of additional investigation, Clayton Fenwick has also been charged with: 

  • one count, resisting/obstructing peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code; 

  • one count, uttering threats against a person, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code; 

  • five counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, Section 92(1), Criminal Code; 

  • one count, possession of restricted firearm with ammunition without licence/registration, Section 95(1), Criminal Code; 

  • one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code; 

  • one count, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code; 

  • three counts, tampering with a serial number, Section 108(1)(a), Criminal Code; 

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code 

  • two counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code; and 

  • one count, weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code. 

Fenwick made an appearance in Provincial Court in Humboldt on Monday.
