Last weekend, the Village of Abbey was bustling with the Harvest Bash, which raised nearly $40,000 for the Abbey Arena.
The Harvest Bash took place this past Saturday at the Abbey Business & Community Centre with happy hour and beverages beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Justin Duncan, MC and co-organizer of the event noted that the funding will have a massive positive impact, as a plant went down last year which cost the arena around $20,000.
"It was a good evening despite the weather, I think we sold 120 tickets," he said. "We had live and silent auctions and duck races."
The prime rib supper began around 6:00 p.m. and tickets were $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight.
"I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting the rink," added Duncan. "It was a really good fundraiser, a good supper, and I think everyone had a really good time."
Additionally, safe rides home were available for attendees.
