A freezing rain warning is in effect for the Peace Country today.
In the Grande Prairie area, freezing rain is expected causing slippery conditions.
Freezing rain has begun this morning in Peace River and Grande Prairie and will expand eastwards to Cold Lake late this afternoon.
Freezing rain will end this evening in Peace River and by Tuesday morning in Cold Lake.
In the Dawson Creek and Fort St John area today, a pacific warm front passing over colder surface air will bring freezing rain to the B.C.
Peace region and southern sections of Fort Nelson beginning this morning. Freezing rain will persist into this afternoon especially for the eastern sections of the North Peace region and southeastern sections of the Fort Nelson region. By late afternoon the precipitation will push further off to the east and out of the area.
