Four individuals were seriously injured in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on Monday evening near Airdrie. Police, however, underlined that no fatalities were reported as of Tuesday morning. All four people were transported to the hospital, with one individual being transported via STARS air ambulance.

DiscoverAirdrie spoke to an RCMP spokesperson early Tuesday morning, who confirmed that among those injured were three children - a two-year-old, a five-year-old, and a seven-year-old, as well as a 36-year-old adult. The driver of the other vehicle involved also sustained injuries, though they were listed as non-life threatening.
Police and other emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, southwest of Airdrie, to an intersection south of Township Road 264 and Range Road 11. Traffic was redirected, but the road has since reopened.

Just after nine on Monday evening, STARS air ambulance tweeted that it was dispatched to an emergency scene call in the Airdrie area. Mounties confirmed that STARS air ambulance transported one of the injured children, the seven-year-old, from the collision scene to the hospital.
