Drumheller RCMP arrested and charged two people following a search warrant issued earlier this week.
Back in July police began a drug trafficking investigation near Drumheller. This led officers to execute a search warrant at around 3:35 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 12) at a home in the 700 block of Third Avenue in the town.
Police say that two women and one man were arrested at the scene. Officers also located fentanyl, cocaine, cash, and other drug trafficking evidence.

Jeffery Burke, 54, and Lindsay Hrenyk, 38, were both arrested and charged with possession of drugs and property obtained through a crime. Burke was also found to have breached a conditional sentence order.
Burke and Hrenyk remain in custody and appeared in a Drumheller court the following day. The other woman who was arrested was released from custody with no charges.
Police continue to investigate and claim that additional charges are pending.
