It's been almost a week since The Voice announced the winner of Season 26 of the popular singing show.

This year's season has been a platform for numerous Christian singers, including Lauren-Michael Sellers, Jaukeem Fortson and the winner, Sofronio Vasquez.

Although Sofronio did not choose to sing Christian songs while on the show, he made sure his faith was front and centre, always being sure to thank God after every performance.

"There was a reason I wanted to challenge him and I wanted to challenge the audience because I knew that he could do it all," said first-time judge Michael Bublé in an interview with The Voice. "There was more than just the voice. What really floored me more than anything was the charisma, the stage presence that went along with that God-given talent. I know how much work he put into making sure that every move was thought out. I know, because this is what I do. I knew what it meant to him, and I could tell by his work ethic, ambition and God-given talent that this was gonna happen for him."

The night before the finale, Bublé made a special phone call to Vasquez giving him words of wisdom from above.

"I just called him and said, ‘My brother, God has a plan for you, and I don’t know if that plan is to win The Voice, but if it isn’t then there is a plan to do it another way. And I will be there with you man. I’ll be there, behind you, supporting you.’ And I’m glad that this was the choice the Lord made for him," said Bublé in an interview with Access Hollywood.

Vasquez is the first male Asian winner in the show's history and the first Filipino to win.
