Highway 72, from Highway 2 to Beiseker, is covered in snow, with icy sections and snow/ice buildup on the shoulders. Fog in the area has reduced visibility to fair conditions. Similarly, Highway 2A, from the Highway 72 junction to Township Road 292, is snow-covered, with snow and ice on the shoulders. However, visibility along this stretch remains good.

On the QEII, between the Calgary city limits and north of the Highway 2A junction, drivers should expect partially snow-covered roads, with snow and ice on the shoulders. Visibility along this route is reported as good.

Today’s daytime high will be -7°C, with a wind chill of -19°C this morning and -11°C by afternoon. Tonight, skies will turn cloudy, with a 60 per cent chance of flurries. The temperature will drop to -19°C, with a wind chill making it feel as cold as -21°C overnight.

Tuesday, December 17, will begin with cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of flurries before transitioning to a mix of sun and cloud. The high will be -16°C, with a wind chill near -24°C. Snow is expected to return in the evening, with a low of -17°C.

Wednesday will bring periods of snow and a high of -13°C. By nightfall, skies will clear, and temperatures will drop to -19°C.

Thursday, December 19, promises sunny skies with a high of -7°C. Clouds will increase in the evening, and the low will reach -15°C.
