After almost a decade of touring together, TobyMac is saying his final farewell to Diverse City's Terrian as she continues her career as a solo artist.
At the end of November Terrian announced that she would be leaving Diverse City, the backup dancers and singers that have travelled and toured with TobyMac for a long time.
"The plan was always for her to be with us while she developed as an artist," says TobyMac on Instagram. "And we have had the privilege of taking the stage with her for around 600 shows. She is a force. Her talent and work ethic are unsurpassed."
On Nov. 3 Terrian released her first solo album, Give it Time. On multiple tours, she was also the solo opening act before TobyMac hit the stage.
"On stage, she moves like poetry in motion and sings every part beautifully and passionately from the heart while making it all look effortless. She is the consummate professional. Always on the ready with her talent, her creative ideas and her support."
This will be the second member gone from Diverse City in the past year as Gabe Patillo passed away on April 12 this year. The group have weather many storms in life together.
"But overshadowing her talent which seems insurmountable, is her heart for our King and the character with which she lives backstage.
Terrian is a friend and a sister. She inspires us all to love Jesus more. To follow Him more closely and to live more like He lived."
TobyMac ended the post with his deep love and support of Terrian and all she's done.
"I pray the whole world gets to experience Terrian the way we have, I hope as she spreads her artistic wings, her songs speak from the truth of who God has allowed her to be because this world can sure use a Terrian. She is 100% the real deal. Pure Gold. You will always be a treasured part of our family and you can call on us at any time."
