Get ready for the event of the season at Grande North Winter Festival (GNWF), happening from January 10 to 12 at three downtown locations: Montrose Cultural Centre (MCC), Bonnetts Energy Centre and Muskoseepi Park.
Bonnetts Energy Centre
Bonnetts Energy Centre is the hub of live entertainment during GNWF, hosting the following activities as part of the event:
·TC Energy ice carving demonstrations.
·Windsor Ford chippers interactive ice carving.
·Snowball target.
·Live entertainment in The Bowes.
Bonnetts Energy Centre offers ticketed activities for ages 12 and older, costing $12 a day or $22 for the weekend (three days). Children under 12 years old can attend Bonnetts Energy Centre activities for free. Stay tuned to the Bonnetts Energy Centre website at bonnettsenergycentre.com to buy your tickets.
Montrose Cultural Centre
Find various special, GNWF-specific outdoor activities at Montrose Cultural Centre throughout the event weekend, including:
·Live DJ.
·Canadian Tire Skating Oval.
·Aquatera Ice Slide.
·The Office Snow Maze.
·Ortho 101 Crokicurl.
Outdoor activities, including the skating oval, ice slide, crokicurl and snow maze, are available at Montrose Cultural Centre all winter long for residents to visit and enjoy. Activities at MCC are free to attend.
Muskoseepi Park
Nature and GNWF collide at Muskoseepi Park with outdoor winter-focused activities, including:
·Live DJ.
·Skate party on the pond with music.
·Horse and wagon rides.
·Maple taffy, provided by Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta (ACFA) régionale de Grande-Prairie.
Pond skating is a winter staple at Muskoseepi Park, and available to enjoy throughout the whole season. Muskoseepi Park activities are free to attend and participate in.
