This holiday season, Gemini Heli Ltd., alongside its generous sponsors, is calling on the region to help "Stuff the Heli" with toys for children receiving healthcare at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH).
From Thursday, December 19th to Saturday, December 21st, families are invited to visit Gemini Helic at 10931 – 123 Street., Grande Prairie (across from the airport) to donate new and unused toys. In addition to supporting the cause, families can enjoy an up-close look at the helicopter and learn more about how it works!
Donation Drop-Off Hours:
- Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The goal is simple: Stuff the helicopter with as many toys and distraction items as possible, ensuring children in your region have a brighter and more comfortable experience during their hospital stay.
As an added bonus, families who donate will be entered into a draw for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: A return trip from GPRH in the helicopter, complete with a tour of the city
Suggested Toy Donations:
- Play-Doh
- Colouring books and washable markers/pencil crayons
- Stuffed animals, dolls, and action figures
- Fidget toys
On Sunday, December 22 (weather permitting), Gemini Heli will deliver Santa and the collected toys to the GPRH Helipad at 11:00 AM, spreading holiday joy to children and their families.
This event is held in loving memory of Brendan Soroka, a cherished husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many in the Peace Country. Brendan’s kind and giving spirit lives on through this act of kindness, uniting the region in a shared purpose of care and generosity.
