UPDATE: Friday, Dec 27, 2024, 11:40 AM
Icy conditions are still dominating west-central highways as we move through Friday.
Winter driving conditions have been highlighted heading east all morning long, and that trend is continuing into the afternoon. Poor visibility is affecting most of the region, including Alsask to Rosetown on Highway #7 and direct highways headed north and south.
Also noted in the map above is that Highway 342, and part of Highway 42 went under travel not recommended status just before 11:00 AM. The rest of the region can't be too far behind with ice covered roads triggering caution already this morning, that already happening north of Rosetown as Highway #31 between Plenty and the Highway #4 junction was also listed as travel not recommended this morning.

UPDATE: Friday, Dec 27, 2024, 8:30AM
Poor visibility is becoming a growing issue this morning as well.
As of the eight o'clock hour, travel was still not recommended around the Rosetown region, and now visibility concerns are joining the list of poor conditions looking west to the Alberta border.
While it's still considered seasonal driving around Kindersley, ice covered roads are becoming more apparent to the north, while pavement frost coming out of the south has thankfully only triggered a partly covered designation.

Icy roads around Rosetown activated a travel not recommended designation for the area early Monday morning. Both directions out of town on Highway #7, #4, and Highway #15 to Outlook were flagged this morning before 6:00 AM as roads remained froze over.
Multiple reports this morning on social media confirmed the hazardous conditions, one user reporting several trucks in the ditch near Fiske. The icy roads also played a factor over Christmas, as another user shared the photo below of two semis blocking the road at around 8:15 PM Tuesday night.
Highway #4 south of Elrose, and highways in the Dinsmore, Beechy, and Lucky Lake areas are all reported as covered, including Outlook and Highway 45 north to Delisle. Seasonal driving exists each direction out of Kindersley, except for Highway 30 south to Eston reading partly covered roads.
