After a week of warm weather, temperatures will drop over the weekend.

According to our forecast, daytime highs were above-freezing for most of the week. This was due to a warm front and the Chinook winds.

Positive weather persists for Friday (Dec. 27), with a daytime high of 3°C. However, with 15 km/h winds, the air will feel closer to -8°C.

On Friday night there will be some clouds entering the area as temperatures drop to a low of -12°C.

The wind will pick up on Saturday, reaching around 40 km/h near noon. There is expected to be a high of -5°C that feels like -17°C in the afternoon.

Finally, Sunday ends the weekend with increasing cloudiness and a daytime high of -9°C.

The following week is expected to be around the same as the weekend, with daytime highs in the single-digit minuses.
