“When you bring your vehicle to us, it’s not just about fixing the damage – it’s about restoring your confidence on the road.”
This from Tyler Kruk from Dunn Ram Chrysler, where their Collision Centre has been recognized as one of the top three collision repair centres in Manitoba by the Manitoba Motor Dealer Association.
“This recognition means the world to us,” shares Kruk, Collision Centre Manager at Dunn. “It’s a testament to the hard work our team puts in every day to ensure that every vehicle we repair is safe, reliable, and looking its best.”
Dunn’s award-winning collision repair team delivers exceptional service and uses authentic Mopar parts for a perfect fit, and OEM auto glass for maximum safety.
Manitoba’s harsh winters test every vehicle, but Kruk notes it’s his team’s job to not only repair the visible damages, but also to address any unseen issues that could compromise safety or performance.
“Our services include Paintless Dent Removal,” Kruk adds. “It’s cost-effective and eco-friendly. We also use glue-pulling, heat contraction, and precision tapping to restore vehicles to their original condition.”
Andrew Brewer is the Service Manager at Dunn Ram Chrysler. He says that for drivers to successfully take on winter conditions, you’ll want to bring your vehicle in for winterization.
“It's hard to start a vehicle in the winter without a good, strong battery and block heater, so we’ll check the battery, make sure that the health and the charge is good. We’ll check your tires – ensuring they have a good tread and are the proper kind of tires for the conditions.”
Changing the oil regularly is important, notes Brewer – so they’ll put in a nice thin synthetic oil for the winter, so it’s easy to start your vehicle in the cold, and it'll be much easier to warm up.
“So we’ll check your fluids, ensuring proper windshield washer fluids are in for the minus conditions, as well as good winter wipers is always recommended. And then we’ll do a basic inspection on your brakes, ensuring everything’s up-to-date.”
While winterization is important having lower repair costs in the future and for maintaining the longevity of your vehicle, Brewer points out that their main concern is winter safety.
“It's important that you get to where you need to go safely and on time and the vehicle’s operating how it needs to be, so that everyone in the vehicle stays warm and safe. That’s the main priority.”
Of course, there are some things you can do on your own, to take care of your car in winter.
“If you have a block heater, use it,” instructs Brewer. “Anytime you can, plug in that vehicle. It's very important that you use every feature you can. And we recommend synthetic oil. If you have a garage, use it, definitely, but come in for your maintenance on a regular basis. Don't put it off ‘til the last minute. Always keep a safety kit in your vehicle. And yeah, changing your own wipers or even filters – anything you can do just to keep up the maintenance of your vehicle.”
And the biggest winter driving safety tip of all?
“If you have a booster pack, make sure you charge it every 30 days at the very minimum, so that it has an adequate charge if you have to boost your vehicle.”
When it comes to customer service and body shop expertise, Dunn Ram Chrysler clearly as it all.
“Between parts, service, and our MPI-accredited body shop, we can take care of everything and can service most makes and models.”
Not only that, but Dunn Ram Chrysler offers exceptional customer service, treating everyone like part of the Dunn family.
“A lot of our customers are also finding our valet service very nice, especially in winter,” reveals Brewer. “We’ll pick up and drop off your vehicle from your home or workplace – it’s a service you won’t find at a lot of other places.”
