Candidate nominations for the 2025 Municipal Election in Wheatland County are now available.
The election will be hosted on October 20 with voting being held from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
"Candidates are responsible for understanding all legislation concerning elections, including nomination, eligibility, campaigning restrictions, campaign finance and disclosure, election offences and prohibitions at voting stations," wrote the county on its website.
Election signs can be put up starting on Monday, September 22 at 12 p.m. and have to be removed 72 hours after the election.
The county also mentioned that no candidates are allowed to use county brandings like logos as part of their campaigns.
To be eligible to vote in the upcoming election residents have to be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and live in the county.
