Do you know someone in the community who's dedicated to helping seniors?
Nominations are now open for the 2024-25 Minister's Seniors Service Awards to recognize those who display kindness, compassion, and dedication to seniors.
"For 26 years, the Minister’s Seniors Service Awards have recognized and celebrated outstanding individuals and organizations for their service to Alberta’s seniors," wrote the provincial government in a news release.
Up to 13 awards will be presented to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations at a ceremony in the fall of 2025. This includes the Alice Modin Award, which recognizes seniors for their commitment to their community.
Two special service awards are also available to honour those who unite generations and support seniors through philanthropic efforts.
Nominations close on April 30 and applicants can submit a nomination online, through mail, or by email.
Previous recipients can be found online.
