Strathmore Library asking for bottles in weekend fundraiser

The Strathmore Municipal Library is hosting a bottle drive over the weekend.

On Saturday (Jan. 4), the library is asking residents to drop off empties between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Board Chair Ann Horn spoke about what the funds will go towards.

"In this day and age when things are so expensive, we want families to have a safe, inexpensive place to go," said Horn. "All of our programs are free, and we'd like to keep it that way."

For those who are unable to drop off bottles, the library is also picking them up across town. You can schedule for pickup by sending an email to board@strathmorelibrary.ca.

Funds will go towards the library's programming, which can be seen on their website.
