Author and speaker Annie F. Downs has written a children's book together with her sister, Tatum Green, in hopes of helping young families deal with grief and loss.

"My youngest son T.J. was born with some significant health issues and we knew we wouldn't have him for long but we didn't know how long," said Tatum. "He lived for 56 days before he passed away and in that time we really wanted a resource to be able to walk our two-year-old son through losing his little brother."

This proved to be challenging because they said none of the resources available told the story of the gospel in the middle of a sad story.

"So because I write books, I wrote one and Tatum and I have worked together to make this book available to you and your family at a time of need that we wish you didn't have either. We wish we never needed it," said Annie F. Downs.

"We hope that this book will be a good tool for your family to have meaningful conversations with your kids," said Annie F. Downs. "The hope of heaven is real and we want all families that could possibly need that reminder to find that in Where did T.J. go?"

Where Did TJ Go? helps grieving families explain what happened and what kind of experiences a child might be having in heaven with the God who loves them and makes everything good in its time. The story doesn’t shy away from the hurt even as it offers comfort and hope to those left behind.

Where Did TJ Go? will hit shelves on Feb. 18, 2025.
