Residents are now able to get rid of their used natural Christmas trees.

According to the Town of Strathmore, collection will begin Monday (Jan. 13).

"The trees will be collected throughout the week. Don’t forget to remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, garlands, nails, screws and tree stands. We wouldn't want parts of your ornaments mixed in with tree chippings and compost," added the town on its Facebook page.

The town says people can place their undecorated trees at their regular collection location by 7 a.m.
