Rob Carnie - Let's talk about assessment. If this is an assessment revaluation year for the City of Moose Jaw, as a homeowning, tax paying citizen of Moose Jaw, how is this going to impact me Maryse?

Maryse Carmichael - Yes. So, this is province wide. Every four years there is a reassessment. It is a reevaluation year in 2025 for us, so it will.

We do not have the full information yet, so the way it normally occurs is that we will receive that probably at the end of February or mid-March. We will receive the in-depth analysis from SAMA on the reassessment, and our own team will go through it, provide a report to Council and it will be Council's decision on the tax policy around the revaluation.

There are a few scenarios that can occur, of course, with the mill rate, and we may have a phase in as required.

So, it is not automatic that it's an increase. Some people may see a decrease in a revaluation year, but there will be notices that will go out at the end of March to early April. That is more likely for when the residents will see their new notices.

Rob - To all homeowners?

Maryse - To all homeowners, yes.

Rob – Okay, and SAMA, of course, is the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency, correct?

Maryse - That's correct, they are our subcontractor that that does all the assessments in the city.

Rob - Well, we're all up to date. Anything else we need to add today?

Maryse - Well, there is one thing I'd like to add. Even though it's not summer, we are hosting lots of people, please go out and enjoy the events that are happening in town, because we're really lucky to have all those people visiting our beautiful city.
