Rocky View Schools (RVS) will now be using a new app to provide real-time location information on bus services.

“We are excited about the transition to WheresTheBus, which will provide families peace of mind as their children are transported to and from school,” said senior manager of transportation Morley Kostecky.

“This app provides families with information that can be used to check where the bus is and see when it arrives at your child’s stop and at school.”

RVS' current app, Bus Status App, will no longer be available as of March 6. Parents have until then to download the WheresTheBus app and create an account.

"To create your account, you will need your student’s PowerSchool number, which can be found on PowerSchool or by contacting your school," said Ben Sherick, communications officer with Rocky View County.

RVS has schools in Langdon and Chestermere.

More information on the app, including frequently asked questions, and details on how to create an account, is available on the RVS website.
