The Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection (GPRSC) has announced a leadership transition, with Executive Director Karna Germsheid moving on to a new role with KidSport Northern Alberta.
Karna has been instrumental in the growth and success of the GPRSC since its inception 11 years ago.
"It has been my absolute privilege to work alongside the sport community over the past 11 years and to witness the incredible work being done by all of you," said Germsheid "Every hour you put into your sport builds stronger, more connected communities but also contributes to the economy in ways that often go unnoticed. Your dedication creating opportunities for others, is nothing short of inspiring. Thank you for everything you do. Stay awesome!"
The GPRSC Board of Directors and funders express their sincere gratitude for Karna Germsheid's significant contributions and wish her the very best in her new role.
"While we will miss Karna's leadership at the GPRSC," said Board Chair Julia Dutove, "we are thrilled that she will continue to support the region's sporting community through her work with KidSport."
The GPRSC will maintain seamless operations with Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Heather Llewellyn assuming the role of Acting Executive Director.
