Christian recording artist and author Tasha Layton is preparing to release her first-ever live worship album.
Worship Through It Live was recorded at Hope UC in Thompson's Station, Tennessee and was captured during an honest night of raw worship with friends just 10 days after Layton and her team came up with the idea to do the live recording.
“Most people know me as a CCM artist, or they know some of my songs because they’re on the radio, but I’ve been a worship leader just about my whole life,” Tasha Layton shares. “When I started releasing music, I was just singing what was on my heart. Some of what came out wasn’t necessarily congregational-type songs, but I believed I was to release them. A worship project feels natural to me and falls in line with who I’ve always been, so it’s special to me that I’m getting to release it.”
The nine-track project showcases a variety of songs including a new powerful live version of Layton’s most recent No. 1 hit, “Worship Through It (feat. Chris Brown),” and the opening anthem “God of Deliverance.” She has also included a new version of Elevation Worhsip's "Praise" and Phil Wickham's "Living Hope."
Her first concert sharing these songs will take place in the spring when she hits the road with bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst for their "Trust Again Tour." Layton is also set to release her next studio project later this year.
