The Wheatland County Food Bank received a generous donation on Friday (Jan. 17).
Strathmore Boston Pizza raised $2,500 for the food bank for their Kid's Card campaign.
The tradition has been going on for thirty years across Boston Pizza restaurants in Canada.
Maclean says the restaurant chose the food bank because they wanted to give back to the community.
"It's just a local charity within our community here and we wanted to find a way to give back to the people that are around day in and day out."
Lynette Aschenbrenner, executive director for the food bank says they appreciate the generosity of Boston Pizza.
"We are seeing record numbers right now. All the help that we get is incredible. It helps us to buy all of our fresh supplies for our hampers every week."
The restaurant plans to raise money for the food bank once again next year.
