Farmers' Almanac predicts cold start to spring

The Farmers' Almanac is predicting a slow start to the spring.

According to the Almanac's official outlook, the first day of spring (Mar. 20) is expected to be cold before warming up towards the start of the month.

April is forecasted to start windy with a lot of moisture, which the Almanac claims will be good for gardeners.

"May remains on the coolish side with possible rain predicted for Victoria Day," wrote the Almanac.

The warm weather is expected to return in full force by the end of June.
