A Chestermere woman has won $100,000.

Kathleen Speck took home the money from the December 3 Western Max draw and said she still can't believe she won.

According to a news release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, Speck says she has her husband to thank for buying the ticket.

“It’s absolutely amazing,” she said. “I’m in complete shock. I don’t have any definite plans yet, but it’s great.”

The winning ticket was bought at the Centex at 124 East Chestermere Drive.

Speck won by matching six out of seven numbers in the draw: 1, 2, 5, 10, 12, 21, and 50, and the Bonus, 48.
