Family Literacy Day: The Strathmore Municipal Library is hosting an event to celebrate learning as a family. Residents can sing karaoke, experience storytelling, and indulge in some delicious pizza. The event will run on Saturday (Jan. 25) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is free to attend.
Name that Tune: Boston Pizza in Strathmore is hosting Name that Tune where you can test your music knowledge. There will be many genres to guess from and various prizes to be won. The event will take place on Saturday (Jan. 25) at 7 p.m.
Mad Hatters Cornhole Club: Join the Mad Hatters Cornhole Club at the Trinity Christian Academy for some friendly cornhole competition. The club will supply equipment, you just have to pay a drop-in fee of $20 for an adult or $10 for a junior. The event runs on Sunday (Jan. 26) at 2 p.m.
Community Book Sale: 5 For Life, a non-profit organization is running a book sale at the Hope Community Covenant Church with all proceeds going towards early childhood development programs. The book sale will run on Friday (Jan. 24) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday (Jan. 25) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lacrosse Try It Session: Try out lacrosse at the Strathmore Motor Products Sports Centre and meet some new people. No registration or cost is needed, just bring a helmet, gloves, and a stick. Join the game on Saturday (Jan. 25) from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to find your new hobby.
