NFL all-star Patrick Mahomes gave all the credit to God after his team's AFC Championship victory.
On Sunday, Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs clinched their spot in Super Bowl 59 defeating the Buffalo Bills in a close game 32-29
In a post-game interview with CBS, Mahomes was asked how it feels to be headed back to the Super Bowl and to keep the chances of a three-peat alive.
"First off, I want to give all glory to God. Without him, none of this is possible. I truly mean that," was Mahomes' response.
In a post shared by Sports Spectrum on Instagram, Tavia Hunt, wife of the Kansas City Chiefs owner, responded to Mahomes' comment saying "Amen!"
Hunt also posted on her social media saying how blessed they are to be a part of this journey and to see God's hand in every step.
"A heartfelt thank you to our fans, staff, coaches, players, and the entire Chiefs Kingdom for your unwavering support and dedication. Your passion and belief make this possible, and we couldn’t do it without you!" said Hunt. "As we step onto the field, we lift prayers for protection, performance, grace, and favour. May we honour Him in all we do."
The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on February 9th.
