The Agra Risk Wheatland Kings are hosting spring camp registration early this year.

Last year there were around 80 players that hit the ice during last year's event.

"Really looking for any 2004-2009 born players who think they might want to try to play for us," says Cody Holdaway, general manager of the Kings.

Conditioning will begin on Saturday, May 3 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Scrimmaging will start on Sunday, May 4 from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Both practices will run at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena.

Over the weekend the Kings defeated the High River Flyers 7-6 in a shootout on Friday (Jan. 24).

"In the end we still got the much needed two points for not only home ice advantage, but top spot in the division going into playoffs," added Holdaway.

However, the Kings lost a tough game to the Sylvan Lake Wranglers 3-1 on Saturday (Jan. 25).

"At the end of the day, we did outshoot Sylvan Lake as the number one Junior B ranked team in the country."

Up next for the club is a battle against the division-leading Carstar Okotoks Bisons.

"The boys are going to hopefully play like they did in Sylvan Lake on Saturday and we're going to come home with another two points," said Holdaway.

Puck drop against the Bisons is at 8 p.m. at the Murray & Piper Arena on Friday (Jan. 31).
