Tuesday morning, we kicked off our month-long tour of reading to Grade 2 students across the region. We will read to hundreds of kiddos over the next four weeks, and along the way our friends from Friesens Corporation in Altona will be joining us to share in the enjoy of reading.
Yesterday morning CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner was at Morris School, and had a wonderful time reading to the energetic and attentive students. Afterward, he chatted with Lily and Carsyn from Grade 2 and Jaxyn from Grade 1. You can listen to that conversation, below.
Along with Lily, Carsyn and Jaxyn, every student we read to at Morris School received a free book from Friesens, "We Need Everyone" written by Michael Redhead Champagne and illustrated by Tiff Bartel, which was printed right here in Southern Manitoba at Friesens in Altona!
Zack and Saturday morning host Eva Heide were at Gretna School yesterday, so keep an eye out for their their I Love to Read Month experience.
