Senior Curling pre-district playdowns took place on Tuesday in the HCAA with a pair of sites taking on hosting duties.

In Strasbourg, it was all Humboldt in boys curling with a best of three match ups and Humboldt Team Two taking a pair to sweep the competition and move on to districts. 

On the Girls side, Muenster and Imperial both downed Strasbourg teams to move on, and in mixed play Watrous downed Humboldt on the A side for a birth but Humboldt bounced back on the B side over Strasbourg to capture a District spot. Mixed doubles see Leroy and Cudworth move on. 

Foam Lake was the other centre hosting action on Tuesday. In senior boys, Raymore and Wynyard will both advance after Wynyard pulled off a pair of wins in the two-team affair. Englefeld girls came out on top on the A side while Ituna advances to Districts through the B side. In mixed competition it was Foam Lake on the A side and Watson coming through in the B to advance, while Wynyard and Wadena head up the ladder in mixed doubles.  

Next, Junior curling playdowns hit the ice yesterday in three HCAA centres. From Foam Lake, Wadena and Humboldt St. Dominic Team One emerged to play at districts to be held next week in Humboldt, hosted by Muenster. Three girls' teams advance from the Foam Lake fray, Ituna, Humboldt St. Augustine and Foam Lake. 

Mixed results saw Wadena and Ituna on top, while Wadena and Team Archerwill One will continue in Mixed Doubles play.

Down in Strasbourg, In Junior boys' results, Watrous Winston High goes on to Districts through the A side while Imperial comes through on the B. In girls' play, Strasbourg and Muenster carry the flags and in mixed play, both Raymore teams will represent their school. Finishing up in Strasbourg, mixed doubles representatives will be Watrous Winston and Viscount.  

Moving on to competition in Quill Lake, Humboldt Collegiate and Bruno came out on top in boys' play to move on to junior Districts. In girls' play it's Humboldt St. Dominic Team One and Quill Lake Team One moving on, while for mixed teams, Wynyard and Englefeld earned spots.
