Christian artist Dan Bremnes released a vulnerable single to start 2025 off, sharing his testimony alongside it.
"I think a lot of people are wrestling with their faith," says Bremnes on Instagram. "I think they don't know what to do with that or they feel ashamed, or they feel like it disqualifies them. But I actually think it's the opposite. I think we're here to wrestle with our faith. I think that's going to be our story and it's definitely mine."
Bremnes released his new single "Started with You," on Jan. 17, 2025. It's a passionate song that encompasses the idea of being so broken, yet God meeting each person in that space.
In another post, Bremnes is walking around his living room in a video and says "It was here I started humming this verse. Before the change had come. Before the grace was seen. Before my life was reborn."
Bremnes grew up as a pastor's kid. He's been sharing a part of his faith journey on social media, including the fact that he not only wrestled with his faith in his 30s but lost it.
"I wrote this song when I had no faith," says Bremnes. "I was Judas kissing Jesus. I was Peter in denial. I was Lazarus in the tomb. I wrote this song when I had no faith. And it wrote faith back into me."
