Despite the cold, there are plenty of fun events to take in this weekend in Strathmore.

Furfest: Furfest will run at the Strathmore Civic Centre with a Valentine's theme along with a kissing booth for human or pet pictures, an off-leash yard for the animals, food booth, and vendors. The event will go on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Agra Risk Wheatland Kings vs. Medicine Hat Cubs: The Kings are facing their toughest task yet this weekend to determine who gets home ice advantage against the Medicine Hat Cubs. The game goes at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena on Friday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m.

Real Canadian Wrestling My Bloody Valentine: Get ready for a slamming event as Real Canadian Wrestling heads to the Ag Pavilion for a night of fun. The main event is a barbed wire bat on a pole match between Steve Wilde and Moondog Manson. The festivities will kick off on Friday, Feb. 7 with doors at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m.

Valentine's Day Trivia: Lil' Jay's Family Arcade and Billiards Centre will host a Valentine's trivia night on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. There will be games, prizes, and fun competition.

Zentangle On a Sunday: Wheatland Society of Arts is hosting a session for residents to master freehand drawing. Zentangle is done by drawing repetitive patterns according to the Zentangle Method. The event will run on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a $40 cost for members and $50 for non-members.
