While some of the top football players will take the field on Sunday night for Super Bowl LIX, several players from the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have shared how important their Christian faith is in their daily life off the field.

"At the end of the day, He's the only way. He's the truth and the life," Carson Wentz from the Kansas City Chiefs said in an interview with God Behind Bars. "There's a lot of other religions that will tell you to do, and Jesus says it's done. He's already done it for us by dying on that cross which allows us to live freely with peace and ultimately give our life to Him."

When asked if someone was on the fence, why Jesus, Rick Lovato from the Philadelphia Eagles said, "What He did for our sins, is something that I will always be in debt of."

Noah Gray from the Chiefs said, "Regardless of where you're at in your life, the fact that God came down and took on flesh and died for our sins, that's the biggest thing I take away and hold near and dear to my heart every day when I go and make decisions for my family and play football. If God can do that, I can go out there and try to be the best I possibly can in glorifying Him in everything."

"He made the ultimate sacrifice for us," Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. said. "His Son died on the cross for our sins, He didn't have to do that. It shows the type of love He has for us."

"Looking at His example, it feels very overwhelmed with gratitude," James Winchester from the Chiefs said. "For who He was, what He did, and who He still is. I'm very thankful for all of those in my life who had an impact on me and continue to grow as we walk in His light."

The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, February 9 at 5:30 CST.
